Bob King is a Professor of English at Kent State University at Stark & has taught at KSU for 28 years, earning multiple teaching distinctions. He holds degrees from Loyola University Chicago & Indiana University (MFA, poetry), where he was Editor of Indiana Review.
His first poetry collection, And & And, is now available (August 30, 2024), & his second poetry collection, And/Or, was just released in September 2025. Both titles are being published by Finishing Line Press.
He’s a former recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship & part of a team that won a 2023-2024 National Endowment for the Arts/Arts Midwest Big Read Communities Grant.
From 2023-205, editors from the following journals nominated poems for a Pushcart Prize: CrayfishMag, The Hooghly Review, LEON Literary Review, & Paddler Press (x2). Editors at these magazines also nominated poems for Best of the Net Anthology: Coalitionworks, All Existing Literary Magazine, Blue Flame Review, & The Gorko Gazette.

He lives in Fairview Park, Ohio, with his wife.
